Fors Arkitekter is a Copenhagen-based architecture studio founded by Sofia Fors. At the core of our practice is a deep care for people and the environment. We see architecture as a way to strengthen the connection between people, nature, and the built environment—from the sensory experience of a space to a broader, holistic perspective. This approach is both an ethical commitment and a method for creating solutions that support human well-being and the ecological balance.
Our work is guided by care—both in the way we collaborate, design and build. We work closely with users, municipalities, and a trusted network of specialists to ensure the designs reflect the unique needs of each project. Whether creating new spaces or transforming existing ones, we do so with respect for the surroundings and the resources we use. We prioritize simplicity, durability, and locally rooted solutions in construction, materials, and detailing. With a strong focus on the human experience, we carefully consider tactility, flexibility, daylight, and the interaction with nature to create environments that promote well-being and community.
We are particularly interested in the architecture of everyday life—how we live, learn, and work. Our projects range from private houses to large public schools. With extensive experience in developing projects from concept to realization, we always pay careful attention to the broader vision, social impact, and the finer details. We believe that architecture, when crafted with care, quality, and aesthetic value, becomes a place that both users and communities will appreciate, protect, and continue to evolve for generations to come.
