Transformation of an old optician shop into a café with an inviting warm wooden interior. The vision for the new café space is to a warm and inviting natural meeting space in the neighbourhood. By creating a new floor opening and connecting the two floors with a stair the café space becomes brighter, more dynamic and provides visitors with access to both floors and a view of the full window facing the street. The beautiful original window has inspired the design of the café; framing the interior and emphasizing the connections between the floors so it becomes more spacious. The wooden integrated furniture and green metal stair creates an intimate space that feels like home and fits all types of acitivites.
