Summerhouse Rörum
The summerhouse is located on an old apple plantation in Skåne, surrounded by many traditional barn houses. The vision has been to create a modern barn house in harmony with the surroundings and that dissolves the boundaries between outside and inside. Large windows provide views through the house and to the garden.
The house is characterized by the use of both traditional and new materials, construction methods and details. Natural materials are used to further connect the outside with the inside. The house has a light gray plaster facade with texture, metal roof and grayed wooden shutters. The interior walls are light grey and the floors are in polished concrete. Plank ceiling, walls, windows, doors and kitchen in wood adds warmth and tactility to the space.
